This nursery is one in a group of several nurseries in Greater London. This one in Barnet is a converted church which was originally 2 storeys and we converted it into 3 storeys due to the high ceilings. A new roof design had to be created along with additional structures to the build, a new buggy store, a new car park, new playground areas, new windows, state of the art security systems as well as high security fencing. A commercial kitchen was installed with hygienic surface, walls, and ceilings. This was a completely new build, even including new street drainage systems and streetlights.

Challenges and Achievements:

• Working during initial covid outbreak but we continued to work through out
• Production of materials stopped as only half work force in factories
• Had to source materials from abroad, increased lead times
• We were challenged with lack of labour on site
• Succeeded and completed the project despite covid
